Why Create Added Value
To Your Online Business? |
The growing number of Internet users all over the world means greater opportunity for online businesses. As the Internet grows in size and magnitude, there is also a corresponding increase in opportunities for online buyers and sellers.
Never in the history of commerce has business been more challenging than during the Internet age when globalization is more of a rule than an exception. Businesses all over the world have to contend with each other and vie for the discerning online market.
To be on top of their league, businesses make use of Internet marketing strategies to promote their products and services. Businesses who know how to use the internet to their advantage will most likely win the war of the technicalities. The art of buying and selling has never been more efficient, more challenging and more diversified than now.
While the Internet presents global opportunities for businesses, it however also subjects these businesses to a wider and more challenging competition from business all over the world. Future clients can decide which companies to patronize or delete and which sites to visit or to forego. Thus, every online entrepreneur worth his salt must be more creative and more technology savvy to be able to compete.
The best way to advertise a business is through a website. A nice and clean website that contains all the basic information abut the business would be a good start for any entrepreneur who wants to try his luck in the online world of business.
Old school business practitioners used to think that having a website with the name of the company as well as the products and services being offered, plus the contact details, would already be enough for survival. However, the dynamism of the Internet has made it imperative for marketers and business owners to add more marketing glitz to their websites.
With the popularity of Internet marketing, business and marketing has never been the same for businesses. They now have to make amendments to their business plans and make sure their websites are at par with their competitors. Or else, they should prepare for the consequences of being unable to cope up with modernization.
Businesses have to create more value added to their websites and not just make slam and bang websites that basically contain all the required information. Internet marketing is a very helpful tool that will lead the way in introducing value added to any website.
Businesses have to avail of the marketing strategies offered by search engine optimization and search engine marketing. By availing of these marketing tools, a business will have more chances of surviving the highly competitive world of online business.
By initiating search engine marketing strategies, websites will be more visible and they will have more exposure. This means more traffic will be directed to their sites and more chances of getting sales in the process. But getting enough traffic is not just enough. Websites should also find ways to make that traffic stay and come back for more!
Most websites create value added to their online businesses by making it a veritable source of online information for people who have the same interests. Take for example a website selling herbs. Creating value added for this website means featuring keyword-optimized articles that would make the website appear at the top of the search engine whenever a searcher keys in the keywords.
Not only that. Websites have started offering ebooks and how to articles to their visitors. The ebooks and articles depend on the products or services being offered by the business. Whatever value added is incorporated in the websites, it should respond to the needs of the target market.
Some websites install search pages in their sites to allow for research right on their pages. This would ensure that the visitor continues to be on that page even if he decides to look for other information. This would increase the probability of the visitor going back to the same page over an d over again since he knows he can do his query right on the page of the website.
Creating added-value to any business will make the business a winner in its own right.
Using Articles Can Greatly Strengthen
Your Internet Marketing Strategy. |
People are always on the look-out for good quality content, not just as a source of information for their own research but also as an add-on to their sites, as in the case of webmasters, bloggers and publishers of e-magazines. Having articles that can lead the way towards your site, product or service will help you drum up interest without having to spend much. In fact, writing articles and publishing them is virtually free.
To help you generate more traffic to your site and pump up your strategy, here are a few tips to optimize your use of articles as a marketing tool:
Mind your title.
The internet is a world that’s peopled with browsers who want fast-fast-fast transactions and access to information. If you can’t catch their eye with a great sounding title, you’ve probably just lost them. It doesn’t matter that your article is well-written and backed by strong research – they will ignore it if your title is blah.
Stand for substance.
Content is all about value and people are more than willing to spend money and time for it. Write articles that are useful, inspiring and/or interesting. Make sure they are the kind that can give your readers better information than anywhere else. Give them something to think about, implement or practice and they’ll keep coming back to you.
Go for grammar.
Slight spelling and grammatical errors will be forgivable to most readers, but a lot of them consider these mistakes a sign of amateurism – not the kind of image you want for yourself or your site. Part of your marketing strategy should be about image and professionalism and when you use articles, make sure they reflect who you are.
Use your talent.
You may not always be the expert but your own set of experience, skills and knowledge is a great source of unique ideas that can not be found anywhere else. Write about what you know, what you’ve done and how you did it. If not, do research – a lot of it, if it’s necessary.
Make installments.
Surfers are like kids – they have short attention spans. Don’t make them lose interest in your article by keeping it short but complete. If you do have a lot of information to use and write about, then publish it in short installments. It will not only keep boredom away, it will also encourage your readers to come back to learn more.
Don’t give it all away.
When using articles as part of your marketing strategy, the best thing to do is to keep people interested enough to click on the link. This doesn’t mean giving away all the details in one go. Your article should only contain general but quality information. If there are details, they are only provided to whet your reader’s appetite and make them want to know more.
Link up.
Always, always provide a resource box in each and every article you use. Your article is your gateway, the door that leads to your site and if it does not have links, it’s as good as a dead end. Your readers (and potential clients) have nowhere to go but out of there and when they do find another source of similar information, your article will be nothing more than a distant memory.
Beware of broken links.
There’s nothing more annoying than clicking on links that lead nowhere, so make sure yours are working well.
Hire if you can’t.
There might be days when the writing bug refuses to bit or maybe writing is not just a talent you’re born with. If that’s true with you, don’t despair. You can always hire a writer you can trust who can tell your readers what you want them to know. This is especially helpful if you’re running several businesses at once and on days when workload is especially heavy.
Publish where it’s relevant.
With the thousands of content-only sites available on the internet, it might not always be a good idea to just submit your article to every one of them hoping to get noticed. Choose sites that are known repositories of quality content or get your articles published in sites that promote internet marketing. You have better chances of exposing yourself to quality customers who are more likely to do business with you.

Six Steps to Creating a Strong
Outline for Your Articles. |
You’ve already finished junior high and maybe even earned a college degree and yet it still hounds you. The outline is almost always a useful guide for any writer, beginner or professional. It doesn’t take a lot of work, it’s easy and it can keep you organized. Yup, the outline is alive and well and it’s as effective as ever.
Do I really have to?
Not if you don’t find it useful, since some writers can make do without an outline and still create quality articles. But it’s wise to note that a lot of writers, even famous ones, use outlines to organize their thoughts and plan their mode of attack. It also helps to prepare them for the whole task and focus on what is essential to include in their article.
There’s nothing wrong with spontaneous writing and if it works for you, then do it. However, preparing an outline before writing an article can provide you with the kind of discipline that you otherwise would not have. Therefore, you end with an article that is written with care and precision.
Step One: Determine What Your Purpose Is.
Don’t just go into writing an article without knowing why you’re doing it. Ask yourself why you have to do it and how you intend to go about it. Knowing what your purpose is can help keep you in the right track.
Step Two: Determine Who Your Audience Is.
Knowing who you will be writing for will help you set the tone of your article’s message. Knowing for which age group, gender, political and social affiliations, lifestyles and main interests of your audience you will be writing for can help you narrow down your article and make it more relevant.
Step Three: Brainstorm.
Brilliant ideas can come in flashes and it would help if you keep a small notebook in handy for just these occasions. Write them down for use at another time. You’ll be glad you did.
Use these ideas during brainstorming sessions either with a colleague or by yourself. Think how these packets of ideas can be used to create useful information and attract your readers’ interest. Group similar ideas together and see how their relationships can be utilized.
Don’t bother about spelling or grammar at this time, just jot down random ideas as they come to you. If you focus on the job at hand, you can wire your brain to produce thoughts that are related to your intended content.
Step Four: Create the Title
For a lot of writers, the title serves a beacon that guides their writing so they don’t get too disoriented. The title will say everything about your article and will create the first spark to attract your readers.
If you don’t have the title yet, don’t worry. By this time, you already have a general idea of what your article will say. If the title is still in broken, incoherent pieces in your mind, don’t fret. It will come to you later. In the meantime, go to step 3.
Step Five: Create the Sub-Topics
Break down your article into several easy-to-write pieces. Group the general ideas first and the specific next. Create the main headings and the sub-headings. Use your organized ideas to create the introductory paragraph, the main body and the conclusion or closing paragraph. In more complicated articles, there could be more parts, but in article writing, it’s much simpler and easier.
Your opening or introductory paragraph should establish the topic, argument and mood of your article. After you’ve attracted your reader, it’s the introductory paragraph that keeps them spellbound, so some of the strongest (but general) ideas are found here.
Next is the main body. This can consist of more than one main topic and may be broken into several sub-topics. This is where you will discuss what the heart and soul of your article is. This is where you present facts, statistics, proofs and arguments about your topic. Write all the necessary ideas, phrases and verses you intend to include on your outline.
For the conclusion, this will serve as your parting words. The conclusion will recap and reinforce the idea/s that you just presented in the main body.
Step Six: Write the Draft
Use the article outline you have just created as a basis and point of reference for your writing. Don’t bother about editing your work yet – just write. If necessary, refer to your outline from time to time. Once you’ve finished, read your draft, make the necessary revisions and check to see if your outline has been followed.
Creating an outline to write an article is not an exact science and you don’t always have to follow strict guidelines. But if you want an article that is concise yet relevant, having an outline is a sure, reliable step in the process.

Your article on “Writing” is well written and laid out BUT lack example. On headlines or headings, it would help greatly if you could throw in some examples like writing a certain topic - how the “Heading” should look like. There should also be some definations or exlainations on “sub-topics” for example, because not everyone reading your article is as educated as you are. Pardon me if my comments seems offensive. Sorry.
